Why Do My Airpods Keep Cutting Out?

Why Do My Airpods Keep Cutting Out

Whenever I leave the house, my phone pings with calls and texts. It’s not the most reliable network but at least it works. I have a pretty good signal so I’m confident the calls and texts are getting through. But as soon as I get into the car, it all changes. Calls and texts stop, the network goes down and I’m left sitting in the dark with my phone. It’s not a big deal, I get it every day. But every time I leave the house, it happens. It happens to everyone. People get distracted and leave their phones in the car. It happens. But if you own an iPhone, you already know that your AirPods solved that problem. But what if you own an Android phone? Can your AirPods work like a charm? Let’s take a look at why your AirPods might be cutting out and how to fix the problem.

Why Do My Airpods Keep Cutting Out

1. Weak Signal

The most common reason your AirPods are cutting out is that you’re in an area with a weak signal. That’s not a problem if you’re using them in the house or while you’re using other wireless technologies like Bluetooth headphones and speakers, but it’s a problem when you’re trying to use the AirPods while driving, commuting, or in places that don’t have great reception. Because the AirPods rely on Bluetooth technology to communicate with your phone, they need a strong enough signal to work properly. If your phone isn’t getting the signal it needs to talk over Bluetooth, then it won’t be able to talk to the AirPods. That’s why it’s important to keep your phone in a place where you know you have great reception.

2. Network

The other reason your AirPods might be cutting out is because of a weak or inconsistent network connection. If you’re in an area with poor coverage, or if your phone is offline, then the AirPods will stop working properly. You can check to see if that’s the problem by going into Settings on your phone and looking for a network signal icon. The more dots there are in that icon, the better the signal is and the more likely the AirPods will work properly. Make sure you have a strong signal when using your AirPods so they don’t cut out when you’re driving or commuting.

3. Intermittent

Sometimes, even if you have a strong signal, your AirPods won’t work properly because they aren’t being registered as connected devices on your phone. This can happen if your phone is connected to a power source or is in airplane mode. The AirPods will work properly if the phone and AirPods are both connected to power sources and not in airplane mode. If you have any other devices connected to your phone, make sure they’re all on the same network so they don’t cause interference that interferes with the AirPods.

4. AirPods

If your AirPods aren’t working properly because of an issue with your phone, then it’s time to take a look at them. The first thing you should do is make sure they’re charged up and working properly. Next, remove them from the charging case and try turning them back on again. If that doesn’t solve the problem, then try rebooting your phone by holding down both buttons for 10 seconds until the phone starts up again. If that doesn’t help, then it might be time for a new pair of AirPods!

How To Fix Your Airpods?

1. Charge your AirPods

The first thing to do when your AirPods are cutting out is to get them charged up. The wireless signal between the two Bluetooth devices is what keeps your AirPods working. If you’re not getting a signal, then you need to charge the two devices up. You can use any other Bluetooth device (like a phone or tablet) to transfer the battery from one device to the other. Just set the AirPods on top of the phone or tablet and connect them both with a Bluetooth device.

2 . Make sure you have good reception

If you’ve done everything we’ve mentioned up until this point and your AirPods still cut out, try turning off all of your wifi connections and turn it back on again. This can help with many different issues but it might fix yours if your AirPods are cutting out because of bad reception. It’s also worth noting that when you turn off wifi, I mean all of it. Turn off your phone’s hotspot, turn off your router, turn off all of your wifi connections and then turn it back on.

3. Make sure your AirPods are in sync

If you’ve done everything we’ve mentioned up until this point and it still doesn’t work, make sure that they are in sync. If you have a newer iPhone or Android device (like a Pixel 2 or Galaxy S8) you can use the Bluetooth function to sync the AirPods to each other. If you have an older device, like an iPhone 6S or older, then try pairing them with another Bluetooth device (like a phone or tablet) and then try syncing them again to each other. You should be able to do this by simply clicking on the little circle on either side of the AirPods and choosing “pair”, “connect” or “add”.

4 . Try turning them both off and back on again

If that didn’t work, and it’s not because of the 2nd point, then try turning them both off and back on again. This, again, is a big one that can work for many different issues. If you’re iPhone is having an issue with your AirPods, try turning them both off and then back on again. If your Android device is having an issue with your AirPods, then turn them both off and then back on again.

5 . Make sure they are charged up

If everything else has already been checked and it still doesn’t work, try plugging the AirPods in to charge them up. If they aren’t charging up at all or are low on battery, then that could be the problem. Try charging them up completely before trying anything else.

6 . Try a different Bluetooth device

If none of these fixes worked for you or if you have another Bluetooth device (like a phone or tablet) that isn’t cutting out but keeps disconnecting, try pairing them with that device. If you have an iPhone, you can simply press and hold the “circle” on the side of the AirPods until they start to vibrate and then select “pair”. If you have an Android device, you can do this by clicking on the little circle on either side of the AirPods and then choosing “connect”. Make sure that both devices are connected to each other (both Bluetooth connections should be enabled) before trying anything else.

Pros And Cons Of Airpods:

cons:

  1. It’s not that comfortable to wear because it’s a bit bulky and heavy (as compared to Bluetooth headphones). But I don’t mind it so much since I hardly wear my AirPods during work hours anyway!

Conclusion

we really like using AirPods. They’re very convenient to use and we find it extremely easy to answer calls and end calls. The only disadvantage of using AirPods is the weight, which is a bit heavy for me. we also have to be careful not to accidentally press the left earbud when we take a call, since it will automatically answer the call! we hope you liked this review!
